Laser spiral welding
Product Category: Car Body Joining Engineering (Welding, Riveting, Gluing)
Laser spiral welding is a welding process that uses a laser beam to form a fusion nucleus between plates. The core principle is to configure a specially designed swing module on the welding head, so that the focused spot forms a spiral weld seam when moving, thereby increasing the joint area. Compared with traditional spot welding, LSW's welding points are circular with a diameter of about 5mm, similar in appearance to traditional welding points but with higher bonding strength. This process has significant advantages: it allows for gaps in the board and has strong adaptability; The welding speed reaches 0.3-0.8 seconds per point, which is 40% more efficient than traditional spot welding; There is no limit to the welding spacing, which can shorten the process time; Single side welding configuration has high degree of freedom and is suitable for complex structures; Can efficiently fuse 3-4 layers of sheet metal, breaking through the layer limit of traditional laser welding. At present, it has been widely used in key parts such as A-pillars, B-pillars, and C-pillars of various vehicle models, with 30-40 welding points on one side, significantly improving the rigidity and deformation resistance of the vehicle body, and becoming an important technology in the field of automobile manufacturing
