AMTS 2019 Concludes with Complete Success

The 15th Shanghai International Automotive Manufacturing Technology & Materials Show (AMTS 2019), an established platform for automotive engineering in China, successfully concluded on 6 July 2019 at Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC).

AMTS 2019 covered a total exhibition area of over 100,000 sqm, gathering 622 exhibitors and 78,736 visits from 30 countries and regions. Over 20 activities took place throughout the three-day exhibition, including forums, seminars, and networking events, featuring 3,482 auto engineers, who gathered to share insights on auto innovation and development.

The event gathered the industry’s leading system integrators, together with 1st and 2nd tier suppliers, which included, among others, SIEMENS, Sinomach FMF, Minotech, WEBEN Smart, KUKA Systems, FANUC, Comau, Guchi Robotics, SIASUN, HGLaser, Trumpf, Demag, Piab, Beckhoff, B&R Industrial Automation, Bosch Rexroth, SEW-EURODRIVE, Weitu, Rockwell Automation, Noblelift, RIAMB, Zhuoyue, teamtechnik, Apex, Danikor, Kunshan Tongri, WEISS, Martin Technologies , Desoutter, Festool, Balluff, Ingersoll Rand, Böllhoff, APEX Technologies, Danikor, Kunshan Tongri, WEISS, Cognex, Nikon, Marposs, Innomatec, Kistler, Nebula Robotics, and PIA Group. The exhibitors showcased their cutting-edge, system-integration solutions targeting auto engineering. Overall satisfaction of the event was very high, including scale, quality of visitors, and organization.

“I was impressed by the event with its large visitor numbers and overall quality. The visitors talked about product specifications and performance, as well as use scenarios. I’d like to be much more involved in AMTS. It provides a professional setting with a good platform, where we can showcase our products. A big thanks to AMTS for offering this platform,” said Mr. Guo Huanyu, flex manufacturing manager with B&R Industrial Automation, who came to AMTS for the very first time.

“I saw auto-parts assembly, fastening, press-fitting and related content at AMTS. I will be following up with interested exhibitors. I’d also like to explore technologies with research suppliers. Overall, I’ve enjoyed a good event with a nice atmosphere,” said first-time participant, Mr. Xing Yun, deputy research fellow with the Industrial Control Network and System office of the CAS Shenyang Automation Research Institute.
20+ sideline activities offered an effective platform for technological and business exchange
Over 20 activities took place during the course of the event, including technological forums, networking gatherings, and a gala dinner. Five technological and exhibitor forums spanned the fields of car body engineering, powertrain, EV, future auto development, parts manufacturing and assembly. The events and their many sideline activities focused on lightweight auto, future development technologies, EV, automotive electronics, production line and logistics, smart assembly, smart factory, and other hot topics, gathering 3,482 auto engineers and decision makers.
